About Dr. Johnson
Dr. Dan Johnson is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with specialized fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy. He provides treatment for a wide range of general orthopedic issues, and specializes in arthroscopic reconstructive procedures of the knee and shoulder such as: ACL reconstruction, PCL reconstruction, patellar instability, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, labral repair, and shoulder instability. He also provides fracture care, shoulder replacement, and both partial and total knee replacement.
Dr. Johnson attended The University of Utah for his undergraduate degree followed by medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his Internship and Orthopedic Residency training in Cleveland, OH at the University Hospitals of Cleveland Case Medical Center. He then elected to pursue specialized training in Sports Medicine in Cincinnati, OH under the direction of world-renowned surgeons and helped cover the Cincinnati Bengals NFL team and the MLS team FC Cincinnati.
As a Southern Utah native, Dr. Johnson appreciated growing up in a small town where everyone knew each other. He is married and has three small children and enjoys spending time with them. Whether they are running to sporting events, climbing trees or chasing bugs in the backyard, he loves playing with his children. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, biking, golfing, boating, and playing sports.
From conservative treatment to surgical intervention, Dr. Johnson treats patients of all ages and skill levels with the care and attention that they deserve, with the goal of returning them to their active lifestyles. He is accepting new patients and is easily accessible with convenient appointments available typically within a week.
